Refreshed, take a first glimpse at St. Petersburg’s charms on a select sightseeing tour. Stroll down the grand boulevard Nevsky Prospect. Wander along an atmospheric canal near the palace square and soak-in the magic of this special place.

Uncover how deeply this city’s fortunes have been intertwined with the tsars, as you view the Peter and Paul Cathedral—the burial place of the Romanov dynasty. Then visit one of the greatest museums in the world: the Hermitage. Marvel at its awe-inspiring collection of artworks, from treasures of antiquity to Impressionist masterpieces. In the evening, you have time to go to the theater or enjoy a cruise on the Neva River.

Head outside the city to see the regal lifestyle of the tsars. First, tour the splendid Pavlovsk Palace, built by Catherine the Great for her son, Paul. Stroll in what is considered to be the finest English garden in Russia. Then head to the magnificent summer residence the empress built for herself. The Catherine Palace is a Rococo celebration of gold and white stucco. The painstakingly restored interiors, including the reconstruction of the famed lost Amber Room, are just as stunning.
Later, enjoy delicious local specialties for dinner.

Bid farewell to glorious St. Petersburg, as a transfer takes you to the train station. Arrive in Moscow a short trip later and settle into your hotel before exploring one of the most vivid and dynamic cities on Earth. Your journey from here continues according to your specific Tsar’s Gold itinerary.

Additional, or less nights may be required to meet changed train schedules. Free allowance for rail baggage is 35kg per person. For over-weight baggage you need to check these items at the Luggage Checkin Center of Beijing Railway Station on the morning of the day prior to departure date.
